Community Montessori Columbus is committed to meeting the scheduling needs of as many families as possible while also maintaining our mission of providing fully-implemented Montessori education and child care. We offer fully-implemented Montessori education and child care at Community Montessori Columbus during the regular School Year following a schedule compatible with the Columbus City Schools (CCS) calendars. In addition to our School Year Session, CMC offers Summer and Break Session child care most normal business days CMC and CCS are not in session.

Our first day of school this year was January 6th. Our last day of school, before closing due to the Covid-19 pandemic, was March 13th. We will reopen for a short Summer Session between July 28th and August 20th. Our School Year Session will then begin on August 24th, as originally scheduled.

Daily Schedule

We strive to meet the needs of as many families as possible with our daily schedule while also providing consistency for the children in our care. The Full School Day is 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM. A Partial School Day is available for 2.5, 3, and 4-year-old children whose families would prefer that they nap or rest at home and who would otherwise nap or rest while at school. Partial School Days will be from 8:30 AM - 1:15 PM and include time outdoors or in our indoor gross motor space and lunch. In addition, three flexible Extended Care options support families who require consistent or drop-in care from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Our Summer and Break Session child care options will follow the same basic daily schedule. Please see the table below and Our Programs pages for more details.
