Join the CMC Team

Thank you for your interest in working at CMC! In our first year, we hope to build a close-knit team of 8 full-time staff. We’re looking for like-minded individuals who are dedicated to supporting Community Montessori’s mission to provide affordable, fully-implemented Montessori education and childcare to an intentionally diverse community of families in ways that promote social and environmental responsibility. Our vision is to expand access to high-quality Montessori education to all families in Central Ohio.

Position availability and hiring timeline this summer and fall will depend on required training, current regulations due to Covid-19, and enrollment levels. We do not have any current openings at CMC, however, we anticipate hiring additional staff in the coming months. Please submit your resume using the application for the position you believe would be the best fit for you if you would like to be considered for future openings.

CMC is leasing space from Karl Road Christian Church at 5400 Karl Rd. Columbus, OH 43229. This places us at the center of the neighborhood and community of Forest Park, however, we anticipate attracting staff and families from all over the North Side of Columbus and across Central Ohio. Our school's new neighborhood and the North Side of Columbus, OH generally offer a variety of benefits. The cost of living is lower than many other comparable neighborhoods in similar cities. It also offers a diversity of welcoming communities with access to equally diverse dining and entertainment options. Columbus, the 14th largest city in the country, is the heart of a fast growing metropolitan area of just over 2 million people. Our recently reinvigorated downtown is just a 10 to 15 minute drive south on I-71 from most points on the North Side. Central Ohio is also home to a well-maintained network of metro parks, several major rivers, and a growing network of bike trails.

We have high expectations for Community Montessori Columbus and a lot of work ahead of us to make our mission and vision a reality! We’re looking for flexible, self-starting, self-aware individuals who will bring their devotion to working with children and commitment to deepening their Montessori practice to CMC each day. In addition to punctuality and good attendance throughout the regular work week, all staff will be asked to schedule themselves annually to attend and support between 5 and 15 community building events outside school hours.

Our priority is to build a team devoted to the long-term success of Community Montessori Columbus and one another. To help achieve this, we will provide competitive compensation and benefits, including tuition discounts for children of staff. Community Montessori Columbus is an equal opportunity employer. Our mission will be well served by bringing together a diverse staff that is representative, at all position levels, of the communities and families we serve. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of their job.
